Two of my favorite Mexican musicians are Natalia Lafourcade and Silvana Estrada.

Natalia Lafourcade’s earlier music is in the pop-rock and latin-rock genres, but her more recent music has featured the stylings of traditional latin folk and latin jazz. Her most recent album, De Todas las Flores, was listed in many year-end lists (ranked #15 by NPR Music and #95 by Rolling Stone). She has won 2 Grammy awards and 14 Latin Grammy awards.

Silvana Estrada is a folk & jazz singer-songwriter that has released three albums. In 2022, she won a Latin Grammy Award in the “Best New Artist” category.
