Uncertain Times Ahead

March 19, 2023

2 Minutes

Things have felt uncertain recently.

There seems to be several serious risks looming over everyone’s heads: the possibility of a banking collapse, of hyperinflation, of AI taking our jobs, of war with Russia or China. The list goes on.

But what’s most frustrating is not that there’s uncertainty. Nobody knows what will happen in the future. What’s frustrating is that it seems difficult to keep up with all of the necessary information to make informed decisions about what the “right” thing to do is.

How am I supposed to keep up with the complexities of the financial banking system, the artificial intelligence technological revolution, and the myriad of geopolitical threats abroad?

Who am I supposed to trust? You can’t trust the biased mainstream media, and you can’t trust every other charlatan babbling about doom and gloom on Twitter. So who can I rely on for information?

I don’t know if there’s a right answer, but I hope that there will be some thought leaders who emerge that provide insight into how to think about these challenges that we face. It would be great if we could get a little less of the “everything’s f*cked” and a little more of the “here’s what we need to do”.

In the meantime, good luck to all the folks putting their entire net worth into Bitcoin.
