I didn’t go outside today.
In fact, I didn’t shower. I didn’t work out. I didn’t go to the movies like I was supposed to.
I didn’t have the mental strength to write an essay or a short story or even a poem.
The problem was that I wasn’t feeling 100%.
So what did I do instead?
I rested. I took a nap. I watched the sun rise and set from my bedroom window.
And most importantly, I wrote what I was able to.
Not 1000 words, not 500 words, but just 123 words.
Sometimes, all that matters is showing up, no matter how big or how small.
