After arriving in Marseille in the early afternoon, I spent the remainder of the day wandering through the beautiful port city. In some areas, the city was a little rough around the edges, but this did not detract from its charm one bit.
Before I arrived, I thought to myself, “I’ve been to a lot of places on this trip. Surely, Marseille can't also be an exciting place to visit.” And yet, Marseille completely exceeded my expectations.
Without fail, I find myself completely enthralled by the discovery of every place I visit. The excitement seemingly never ends; each new city, town, beach, or mountain feels like a treasure I've tracked down and recovered from the deepest depths of the ocean.
I'm too tired to go into all of the details now, but maybe someday soon, when I find myself yearning for Marseille, I will revisit and recount the intricacies of this place.
